Who we are

North Bay NARI® agrees to establish as the area in which our membership draws from as Marin, Sonoma, Solano, and Napa counties. Any person residing in the above four counties has the right to join the membership of the North Bay NARI® Builder's Roundtable.

Contractors local to Marin have been meeting in one form or another since the late 1980’s. Jeff Hicks, a general contractor, lead what was known as the Splinter Group for over 10 years. A few years after Jeff decided not to continue, Greg Neil began the group again, offering almost the same format. After 3 years, the group leaders decided to continue in a more formal way by becoming a local chapter of NARI® (National Association of the Remodeling Industry). Thus The North Bay NARI® Builder's Round Table chapter was born in 2005.

Our ongoing objective is to serve as a resource for helping contractors practice their trade and improve their businesses. We have done this best as an educational vehicle, providing a forum for sharing professional insights and knowledge, increasing the skills and abilities necessary for being successful at all levels of the construction business, and contributing to the training of this, and the next, generation of construction professionals.

We meet on a monthly basis to build community, support each other, provide continuing education by sponsoring school programs and educational projects, and share resources for people in all construction-related industries.

Our mission is, through the association and collaboration of the people attending our events, to raise the level of professional education for the construction industry, expand community relations, and give a much louder voice to the commitment to professionalism for the entire industry.

How we help build your business

We offer monthly professional seminars in our community, and have done so for over a decade. We hold these dinner seminars at local venues and currently have 40 to 60 attendees. Professional and volunteer speakers donate their time to teach a variety of construction-related subjects:

• Risk Management
• Document Control
• Estimating
• Better Specifications
• New materials and new green materials, specifications, means, methods, and designs
